Our son loves fire trucks so he got a firetruck themed birthday with a model of fire truck， fire truck books， fire truck cookies and decorations。 He liked this book。 He also liked the pages just inside the covers with a little vocabulary。 He likes to point out words he knows。

Very cute illustrations that are easy to view and not confusing for small people。 I liked the vocabulary throughout and the labelled illustrations on inside covers。 The fire fighters reflect diversity and the depiction of the actions they do to fight a fire is educational。 I like the extra thickness of the pages in the hardcover edition。

A little fire truck tells about the work of the firefighters in rhyming text。 Each page begins with “I’m a little fire truck” even if that does not make sense with the rest of the page and the rhythm of the text is not always consistent。 Still， young fans of fire trucks will like the action and colorful illustrations。 Sturdy binding， heavy stock pages and curved corners are well-formatted for young readers still learning how to handle books。
